What is The Altering?

The Altering is a blog-related site that seeks to inform, stretch, and alter the way we think through content varying from education, theology, art, music, and life in general. It is a conglomeration of thoughts turned into articles that arise through the ups and downs of work, church, school, family, friends, and faith.

The concept of The Altering was produced from a desire to impact people’s perception of life. To expand their understanding. To stretch their beliefs. To transform their thought process. To alter their Judgement. But most importantly: to alter mine.

Why The Altering?

Personal Memoir

The first reason I decided to start a blog in general is for personal keeping with articles that arose from the seasons of life I was in at the time.

Alter Minds

No matter who you are, it is always a joy when you have been able to partake in the glorious opportunity of altering someone’s thought process, beliefs, or understanding. Even at the basics of just teaching someone something they do not know. One of the reasons I created this blog was to impart my knowledge and thought process in the hopes of altering someone else’s.

Outlet to Improve my Writing Skills

As a future English teacher, one of the ways I can enhance my writing skills is through frequent article postings on topics I love to write about as well as topics that force me to study and ponder deeply.

Outlet for releasing my inner creative

Through the years I have come to discover I am more in tune with the creative side of life such as music, art, creativity, and originality. Though some would discredit my masculinity for being such, creating a blog allows me to be original, creative, and artistic.

Forced Creativity and Study

When it comes to certain topics and content that I have a desire to produce or even come up with, serious thought and study are involved, especially if it is a topic I have thoughts on, but little understanding of. This blog forces me to create, be original, and to do my research.

Conclusion

The Altering as an offering of Worship

At the end of the day, my desire is to lay all of my content on the altar for the Lord as a sacrifice of worship.
